NYU Kimmel Center
The Helen and Martin Kimmel Center for University Life is Located in the center of the New York University Campus at Washington Square South and LaGuardia Place. This comprehensive facility includes a student cafeteria, auditorium, lecture halls, music practice rooms, offices for student organizations, workrooms, meeting centers, a formal dining hall, and the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts.
With a 1,000-seat theatre, the Skirball Center will be the largest performing arts facility south of 42nd Street. Outfitted with state-of-the-art light, sound, and projection equipment, Skirball provides a professional level facility for concerts, film screenings, and theatre productions.
In order to construct this facility in as brief a period possible, RCDolner expedited and coordinated the pre-purchase of many critical materials and trades.
A separate pre-construction team was created, comprised of project managers, estimators, and mechanical engineers, dedicated to expediting an aggressive start-up schedule.
