Andaz 5th Avenue
Conversion of an existing 215,000 sf commercial office building that involved a major layout and structural transformation to accommodate a new luxury boutique hotel, while keeping the brick and limestone facade of this historic 1916 Rogers Peet Building. An additional five stories, constructed of metal panels and a glass wall system, were added atop the 41st Street tower. The building core connecting the towers was demolished to create a new interior courtyard that allows for natural sunlight to enter.
The hotel, looking to achieve LEED® Silver Certification, features 144 guestrooms, with many of the 40 suites offering floor to ceiling windows, entertaining areas, balconies and kitchenettes. A health club; private dining and event studio space (andaz lounge and apartment 2E); conference rooms, restaurants and bars are also available for guests and walk-ins.
Equipped with an INNCOM Integrated Room Automation System each guestroom is inclusive of high-end finishes such as travertine marble bathrooms, porcelain foot baths, glass vanities, custom millwork panels and doors and custom glass and steel wardrobes.
