Lincoln Center Promenade
RCDolner served as construction manager for three major initiatives for the modernization effort that rejuvenated Lincoln Center's entire 16-acre campus: Josie Robertson Plaza, David Rubenstein Atrium and the David H. Koch Theater.
Josie Robertson Plaza
RCDolner oversaw the installation of a central fountain, lighting, paving, and a waterproofing system requiring the replacement of all existing waterproofing, drainage mat, and other overburden components. New stairs lead from Columbus Avenue to the plaza level with risers that are illuminated with scrolling LED text. To either side of the stairs, an ADA-accessible, glass canopy-covered ramp connects the street with the plaza.
Columbus Avenue Frontage
New landscaping has been provided along the Columbus Avenue frontage. The existing service road leading from Columbus Avenue to Josie Robertson Plaza has been dropped below street-level to the concourse level, with a new drop-off lane. Three escalators and an elevator connect the concourse and plaza levels. A seating area at the concourse level drop-off was added, and the pedestrian walkways, including the one leading to the subway, was renovated as well.
